The Verde Valley Current is a monthly print and digital publication dedicated to showcasing the attractions, businesses, people, history, and communities of the Verde Valley. From Sedona and Cottonwood to Camp Verde and Jerome, our mission is to support local tourism, elevate community voices, and help travelers and residents discover the best of this vibrant region. Our motto is Go-See-Do the Verde Valley

We blend visitor information with local insight — engaging both tourists and locals through articles, guides, interviews, business directories, and regional coverage.

The Current is published by Cimarron Communications, LLC, a media development, marketing, and management consulting firm based in Arizona, founded and led by Jim Diaz.

Our mission is to organize and present accurate tourism information for the Greater Verde Valley — making it accessible, useful, and engaging for both visitors and residents. We aim to create affordable media platforms that help local businesses connect with their customers and tell their stories.

Out of town visitors – Planning a trip or looking for spontaneous things to do.

The local community – Local residents, both longtime and new, who want to learn more about their communities’ updated offerings for events, entertainment, hospitality, shopping, or personal enrichment.

Businesses and organizations – Seeking visibility, credibility, and promotional support to reach visitors and local customers.

For our marketers – A Trusted Media Mix – We strive to build confidence in a strategic blend of traditional media and creative digital innovations — helping partners understand the value of their investment in media exposure.

For our readers/viewers – Stewardship of the shared life of our communities –In the communities (both readers and marketers) that we serve, we will be regarded as a civic asset of reliable and trustworthy local tourism-related information.

To our staff and operational partners – A respectful working environment – We are committed to building a flexible, respectful, productive environment that values partnership, creativity, client success, and work–life balance.

  • The Greater Verde Valley – Including Sedona, the Village of Oak Creek, Cottonwood, Clarkdale, Jerome, Camp Verde, Rimrock, Cornville, Page Springs, and rural attractions. Each area has its own identity — and our goal is to help visitors and locals explore all of them.
